True to the modern day millennial love story, Brian and Lauren met online. Or as Brian likes to say, ‘We connected online and met at a bar’. More specifically, the roofdeck at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in late September of 2019. Brian was a ‘young 35-year-old’, as he loved pointing out, just returning from the Eagles Game in Green Bay the day before. Lauren was an old 31-year-old, sick of the online dating scene. Both were tempted to cancel their planned meeting. This was due to events of the past weekend and just dating disappointments of the past, but thankfully they both decided to go anyway. Rooftop bar on a beautiful day? Beer? What could go wrong?
Brian was his usual early self and Lauren, eternally late, was of course running 20 minutes behind. After finally arriving and meeting, the two hit it off immediately! They realized they had an interest in all things Philly sports, were close with their families, and had a shared love for light beer. As the date came to an end, they both felt optimistic but did not want to be too hopeful. They each thought it seemed too good to be true. Despite their apprehension, Brian reached out to Lauren to see what her plans were for the following weekend. From then on the two were inseparable, and as they say, the rest is history!
During the past two years they have enjoyed going to Philly sporting events, experiencing new restaurants, exploring the city around the holidays, traveling together, and the beach. The two have navigated their way through a relationship during a pandemic, shared some of their best memories together, as well as some of life’s biggest challenges and heartbreaks. One of their close friends has mentioned on multiple occasions, ‘I have never met two people more perfect for one another than Lauren and Brian.’ So, in September of 2021, Brian got down on one knee in Lauren’s childhood backyard and asked her to marry him. The answer was a no-brainer!
She of course said yes!
Now, Lauren and Brian are ready to start their life together as husband and wife. Their wedding is going to be a day when they can celebrate love, life and family, and thank God for all of their blessings. They are so excited to celebrate their special day with all of you!
